On 27th September 2012 Hotel Felix was the only hotel to win one of the Cambridge City Council "Way to Be" Awards. Launched in 2004 these awards are for businesses and services who do most for disabled or older people.
The Hotel received the award in recognition of the improvements made to its Junior Suite bathrooms - making them much easier for disabled guests and those with mobility issues to use.
Shara Ross, General Manager at Hotel Felix responded "we are thrilled to receive this award as we work very hard to ensure that our disabled guests are well catered for and it seems that the investment made in the Junior Suites has paid off. We are certainly welcoming more disabled guests in wheelchairs - many of them more than once when they have experienced the facilities and the care we offer".
Hotel Felix has disabled access and facilities for disabled guests and visitors with mobility issues. 26 of our bedrooms are on the ground floor and 4 more accessible by a lift in the main house. 3 of the ground floor rooms are suitable for guests with access needs and have alarm points in the bathrooms, lever taps and ample room around the bed for wheelchair users. 1 room also has grab rails in the bathroom.
