A cancellation or an amendment to a bedroom booking should be made before 6pm on the day prior in order to avoid a cancellation charge equal to the first night room rate. A booking will not be considered cancelled until you are in receipt of a cancellation reference number. Any cancellation after 6pm will be charged at 100% of the room rate booked.
Check-in is from 2.30pm and check-out is by 11am on the morning of departure. We appreciate early access to a room may be required and whilst we will make every effort to get the room ready for you we cannot guarantee this. We can however store luggage and place it in the room when it is ready. To guarantee access prior to 2.30pm it is recommended that the room is booked from the night before.
What is pre-authorisation?
Pre-authorisation is common but often confused with actual charges. Whilst purchases are immediately charged and deducted from your available balance, pre-authorisation represents a temporary hold. The length of the hold will vary and your credit card company can advise how they handle this.
Your available balance will be reduced temporarily by up to the full amount of your reservation. You may also see ‘pending transactions’ on your credit card account summary. If you are not sure if your card has been pre-authorised, both the hotel and your credit/debit card company can verify this.
Our car park is free of charge for residents during the duration of their stay .
Room rates are quoted in £sterling and include VAT at the current rate.
Credit Card Guarantee
A credit card or debit card is required to guarantee all reservations. Nothing is charged to your card at the time of booking unless an advance purchase rate has been selected and you can settle your account using an alternative payment method if you wish.
American Express cards whilst accepted are not a preferred method of payment on check out and an extra charge may apply. Visa and MasterCard are, however, gladly accepted.
All bedrooms are non-smoking. Failure to comply with this ruling could result in a charge (minimum £50) being added to the final account or, if check out has already occurred, a minimum amount of £75 will be forwarded for settlement
We strongly recommend that reservations are made in advance as we may be unable to guarantee a table or a specific time during busy periods
Weddings and Events at Hotel Felix
There may be occasions when a private event or a wedding takes place. Whilst we make every effort to ensure that guests not connected to the event are not inconvenienced, should there be any concern please contact us ahead of your stay.
Hotel Felix is one of few animal friendly hotels in Cambridge, and welcomes well behaved dogs to stay. They are allowed in the bedroom, on the terrace and in the garden. We also allow them in our Orangery should you wish to dine and do not wish to leave your dog alone in the bedroom.
Should you leave the hotel we kindly request that dogs are not left alone in the rooms as this often causes distress to the animal resulting in disruption to other guests. Bedding for dogs is not supplied by the hotel and should any Hotel linen, furniture or carpets be spoilt, a charge for cleaning/repair may apply. The hotel also reserves the right to levy an appropriate fee to recover any compensatory value issued to neighbouring guests who are disturbed and the owner(s) are responsible for any damage caused. If you have any questions regarding our policy on animals staying at the hotel please feel free to contact us.
